I've got BAD news. AusPost is extremely inconsistent. I posted an order of 2 MiniZs & a keyring toy a couple of days ago for $2. Today for exactly the same package, its $8.80. Service is by exactly the same guy (jerk?) at the St Leonards PO. I'm not sure what to think. I'm still basically in shock. He coldly said that it just passed the letter standards. WTF. And he said we can't register packages to the USA. And Myer is having a "Myer heart new york" thing? Jesus Christ.
Ok, here's what we'll do for florspace orders. Desperate situations call for desperate measures.
I will not be listing new stuff until the last week of June when I can send packages from Singapore instead when I'm back. Shipping charges is pepetually regular and we'll know what we need to pay instead of $2 a day and $10 the next. Besides Auspost won't let us register packages so its hopeless if something gets lost.
So much for bringing my shop over. This place is just full of surprises.
ps: if you're within Australia and wish to see my Cube collection I'd brought with me, send me an email. :+) Postage for you guys would prolly be more decent.

Thanks for everyone's recent orders but due to a crazy busy week of tests, assignments and projects, I can only make a postal run on Saturday morning. I'm pretty much packed 9-9 everyday which isn't really good for post. Everything's packed and ready to go so no worries. To know when I've mailed your package, check for records on etsy or you'll receive a shipping notice from me with the tracking number. My sincere apologies and I promise it'll get better! Though, if your order is urgent, let me know asap so I can do something.
Ok, with the important note out of the way, I was supposed to write this last night or monday night. I realised my situation just got really bad so I thought I'd better update everyone. Its been a really bad time for me, with very very little sleep and its made me super cranky! I'm really lucky to have mum helping me with sewing. There's very little time to sew these few days and I'll prolly not get to do that for a while. I'm dreaming a lot about the needle of my machine going up and down. LOL I'm still secretly caressing and sniffing my fabrics, just to curb the addiction. sigh. So.very.tired. I miss eating wafer flowers in the night.
I was bored the other night so I carved these at 4am coz I was too hyped up to sleep after doing a project report. They don't look fantastic coz I'm still very much a novice at stamp carving but really hope I'll get better with practice! DH got me a whole load of rubber stamp carving things from his trip the last time and snail mailed it to me as a birthday pressie! Oh and he included a simpsons DVD pack too. I can't remember which season it is but its got maggie on it. It'll add to my collection. Woo-hoo! New Simpsons DVD to spice up my old re-runs! I wanna take a pic of the pressie but you know, work and all. I'm hardly ever home in the day and its the best time to take pics. Night pics are forever crummy!
FAA orange parcel swap package received! Last weekend I made a patchwork out of the materials in the packages hoping to have time to turn them into a bag this weekend. Here's hoping! Thanks everyone who sent my such fabulous things. Oh, one of the packages included a round tin of lifesavers. My classmates had a swell time over the design of the push tin. They thought it was a twisty top but turns out its a press top and puff sides for closure. We had a good laugh over people who didn't get it. Suffice to say the yummies inside didn't last long either!
Oh wait, I'm in blogging in class. Gotta go!
Crap, I shouldn't even be awake. I have classes in the morning and I'm known to get really upset without enough sleep, i.e. 10 hours. Yeah, DH thinks I sleep too much so I remain cute & childlike. Don't people get it? I hate being called cute. LOL
New tags. I ordered them a while ago in a huge batch so promise you people buy more of my stuff k? hehe They are woven, loads more professional and lovely to look at too! And, I did set up florspace.com but its not up yet. Most of my stuff are still on etsy. I need help with building a website. Anyone wanna do it for a penny? I know, I know, I prolly should DIY. But with school and making stuff, I can hardly find time to breathe. And etsy's been giving weird problems lately. I'm taking hours to do listings coz it keeps gettin stuck. Jez, we're paying fees, dude!
I'm hitting the hay, right now, before I turn nasty. LOL

Past few days went by like a blur. I think I slacked a little but still managed to get laundry and some purses done. I've also carved out some mushrooms for stamping which will prolly be showing itself in my creations pretty soon. Rubber stamp carving can be therapeutic somehow. I do it really late at night when all is quiet and I'm lying around on the armchair with Jazz/blues on the radio. I reckon its the best time to get stuff done. The weather's pretty unforgiving in the day, leaving me mostly hot, sticky, migrained and generally flat by 4pm. I think I need a night job. Or I'm praying DH will finish his PhD soon so I can move out of here. I think I miss him quite a bit. He's in Tokyo for a convention these 2 weeks + having a great time shopping. *Green wif Jealousy!* I'm broke, which pretty much explains why I'm not there. :+(
I managed to send out Melissa's tote for the Bag Ladies Swap as well. Hope she likes it! I'm not showing it yet though. :P I've also received the last instalment of the FAA blue parcels. Strangely, I haven't heard from the peeps I posted to. I'm praying they got to the rightful people, safe & sound. Sometimes its just so hard to make sure it reaches wherever its supposed to go, which is why I have a pretty deep love-hate relationship with the postal system. Like the world, there's always good and bad people around. I think I prefer to meet good ones. Speaking of, I'm supposed to get a custom necklace from Marsha, she made a really nice design for me but I wasn't sure if it was me and I didn't quite put it the right way to her. She was really nice about it and I promised to love the necklace anyhow. Thinking of which, I'm quite a strange person. When something catches my eye, I wanna grab it, own it, thinking I'd love it forever, but its forgotten in some corner in a blink of an eye. Its the ones I'm not sure about that really lasts a long time. Its my lifelong dream to study how my brain works. I swear its got a life of its own and it spents at least 75% of its time laughing at me. Sigh.
Anyways, I'd prolly love it. Her designs are really really special. It takes time to love. The more you see it, the more you develop an affinity for it. Its amazing how that happens!
Oh, MOO tells me my notecards & stickers are on the way. *happy*
Oh, that very sweet/cheeky girl up there? She's been my blythe for 3 months now and I haven't got a name for her. Then I finally had an epiphany this evening. Her name is Mia, in honor of Mia Farrow & Woody Allen's "seperate togetherness" relationship, which I kinda worship, since I'm "weird" about stuff and space. :P

Its been a long wait or what?! Well, not so long for me coz I'veen been busy preparing for this big launch. Yeap, I'm finally deciding to bust out with my private loot in very very limited numbers so hurry if you love them coz no more thereafter! Believe me, I'm much less thrilled than you. It means more cash for the sleazy privatised postal system than for me and you. Personal apologies, even though it seems unnecessary for me to do so, on behalf of the expensive postal system & high paypal charges. Hmm, at least post people are doing something for us. Paypal isn't really doing much, isn't it? Sitting back and watching huge percentages + per transaction charges roll in seems rather easy for them. I respect the fact that they are rather "safe" and have continued to use them despite the fact that they are ripping you and me off, for the sole purpose of convenience. Sigh.
I would like to take this blog post opportunity that I will be using registered mail (like delivery confirmation, with a number tagged) from now on, to ensure you receive your goodies and will not lie about receiving them. Yes, I'm direct, and I refuse to play sleazy games of hidden costs some sellers do. In fact, I have absorbed a lot of charges before this, therefore rendering me penniless after paying for postage and materials, thus having to resort to eating instant noodles consistently. Though, contrary to popular belief, I still refuse to charge a price I won't pay for myself. florspace is a total indie boutique shoppe with fabulous materials, good workmanship, quirky & unique stuff you won't find at the crowded malls and on top of all that, personalised service with a smile. Ask your local stinky mall shops to beat all that! :P
So, to announce that and that, your postage charges included paypal service charges, bubble envelope, shipping costs, & registered mail costs.
