Cube Wallets

I've caved in and released a handful of these cuties~! Yaaaay! I've been getting requests for cubes these weeks. Is it the summer? ;+) Anyways, I've also found a more reasonable PO for a little less in shipping. Actually its also my again bursting suitcase that really needs help! Thanks to the wonderful girls who grabbed a bunch of my MiniZs, I'm a bit less in weight.

More listing, less talking! If you're seeing a wallet that I've not listed, let me know and I'll do my best to get them up. Its my last week in Sydney and DH is demanding 24 hours of my time before I return to sauna Singapore. Yikes.

***Aussies, your postage is really cheap so do pick something up while you can! ^___^

EDIT: Just to show I'm not "profiting" or "charging for paypal/etsy fees", here's a receipt of the recent single cube wallet to Zone 4, everywhere. Its $10.30 for the shipping and $1 for the post bag. Crazy crummy prices! I even got sympathies from the nice post lady, though I still had to foot the bill. Not complaining but crazy mad at Australia Post and thinking about my poor customers. Shall we ship from Singapore instead? It'll be 7 bucks registered and it covers almost everything. For now, I'm sticking to charging $9 for shipping. I'll pay the 2 bucks, for now, coz its so crummy for you guys to pay $11. I'll change the shipping to $7 on Friday 27th coz I'll be shipping from Singapore on the 1st of July. And it'll be $7 from then forwards. Clear?

Sydney Shipping ALERT

I've got BAD news. AusPost is extremely inconsistent. I posted an order of 2 MiniZs & a keyring toy a couple of days ago for $2. Today for exactly the same package, its $8.80. Service is by exactly the same guy (jerk?) at the St Leonards PO. I'm not sure what to think. I'm still basically in shock. He coldly said that it just passed the letter standards. WTF. And he said we can't register packages to the USA. And Myer is having a "Myer heart new york" thing? Jesus Christ.

Ok, here's what we'll do for florspace orders. Desperate situations call for desperate measures.

I will not be listing new stuff until the last week of June when I can send packages from Singapore instead when I'm back. Shipping charges is pepetually regular and we'll know what we need to pay instead of $2 a day and $10 the next. Besides Auspost won't let us register packages so its hopeless if something gets lost.

So much for bringing my shop over. This place is just full of surprises.

ps: if you're within Australia and wish to see my Cube collection I'd brought with me, send me an email. :+) Postage for you guys would prolly be more decent.

To Odds'n'Blobs : Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you! I thought I was the only silly one complaining about AusPost! Oh big sighs anyhoo. I'm still praying it'll get better someday. :P

Crazy week, vintage find, blog mentions + new wristlets

Jez louise! Is time running like the water at my tap these days or is it just me?! I'm not kidding, life has been very brisk for me these days! Tons of mail to send, tons of purses to make, tons of email to answer and school to go. But I do really enjoy what I'm doing (even the lecturers are better than the acca ones imo, no judgment!) so I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but this is like I've never lived before! At least I now know I'm gonna die happy.
Look at the bag of packages there! I've been going to the PO with 2 bags full each time (Baa Baa yellow sheep? heh heh). The nice PO lady has been putting up with me! Oh and she even ordered a purse from me yesterday!
I'm glad I have dad to take me there and back recently. He's been really nice when I request for transport. Taking public transport with these packages laden bags invite loads of curious stares, not to mention I look like a bag lady. I'm not a fan of stares & unfortunately, its like that here. I was happier in Sydney when people left you alone, even when I was wearing a girl's dress (Lolita syndrome, courtesy of Japan's EGL wave!). I'm still a big fan of those uber adorable lolita dresses (Baby SSB esp!) but I think I had one too many Reece's so I can't fit into them right now, not to mention I look ridiculous among the tees & berms clad Singaporeans becoz they're gonna stare & its freakin hot. Sigh.

Oh, and I threw my neck out. I think it was my sleeping position but its been bad since Friday. I can't move my neck much and it hurts quite a bit. I hope it goes away soon. The weather has been unforgiving too. :+( I heard the summer's been horrible to people in Europe and the torrential rains around the world. Take care and drink loads of liquids, friends. Oh and your pets too! And, take care of the earth. Seems like the theory of Day After Tomorrow's true? I hope its not too late to save the earth. This young and very pompous girl I came across while grocery shopping this evening exclaimed loudly that its "a waste of money buying groceries on Wednesday" coz its the day when we have to pay for plastic bags. Isn't that appalling? I always bring my own bags when grocery shopping, all shopping actually. I've been refusing plastic bags. Let's all try to do that? (Yeah, I'm a tree hugger. *shrug*)

I couldn't resist taking a pic! Its a super cute package going out to a big fan of my purses. I'm not gonna say who coz it'll spoil the surprise! Hope she likes... I miss wrapping things like that. Don't get me wrong, all your packages are painstakingly wrapped and noted, not to mention they take up loads of time to! I guess I just miss making the bigger totes & sets and really wrapping them up nicely. People who are waiting for my larger bags & wallets, please be a tiny bit more patient with me! They are coming, I promise. But since we're not a faceless company-type-factory, its takes more time to insert love and care in the creations. I don't create shabby things for money because I want you guys to really use the stuff I make! They're better in action. ;+) So just a bit longer! a bit a bit a bit........loooooooonger........ *sweat*

An awaited package from Melissa Michael came today! I made her a bag for the bag swap on flickr so she sent me these 2 clutches. I wanted something classy to bring out at night. I love these, perfect for my 101 black dresses I own. She wants me to alter it a bit so when I get to do that, I'll take a pic again. :+) Thanks Melissa! I love the cute flower fabric inside! And the Reece's! You really spoil me! And I'm gonna frame the cupcake card. Its got such cute sentiments! "Heaven is a cupcake with vanilla icing." YUM...

I think most people know by now, I'm a big fan of vintage! I've been looking for these red Kromex canisters forever. I finally found them recently and they're enroute to me! I'm not gonna say when or how or where I got them coz then you'll get to things before I do! :P Yeah, I'm bad. Anyways, a kitchen's not a kitchen without pretty canisters. It'll be an early b'day pressie for myself! Still a pity I couldn't find the whole set. These are the 2 smaller ones only. Oh well.

Mentioned in HandmadeCrafts!

Mentioned by J! I love the picture! It means so much to me that my MiniZ is pictured in action being useful! (instead of lazing around. heh heh)

2 new wristlet pouches! They are slightly bit different from each other but both fabulous. I scored some really cute clips so I decided to use them here. Japanese quilt cotton fabrics with Japanese zakka-style linen. I think I'm too affected by the Japanese magazines. LOL

Go look!

What's in the bag?

Here it is...The pinnacle of crafting....the ultimae decadence! LOL I can't seem to rave enough about this one. I made it last week before um, I got dizzy spells again. It took 3 days but I had fun! Fabric placing was a bit tough but at least I got some decent placements out of it. I think the Mini Zippereds are kinda like those swedish circular prints which I totally love as well.

Me thinks this makes a great bag starter set! All you need is well, your stuff! All descriptions are available at the listing. I know its short and all but I'm totally beat from crafting all day. I had to finish Tisha's Doll wallet coz I've been sick & slacking off and she needs it for someone's birthday this weekend! Yikes, Its totally horrid of me but I've gotten it all done, thrown in some real good goodies so hopefully, it'll make up for the lateness. Whew! I've also gotten recent packages all packed and ready so it'll be dropped off tomorrow when I accompany my mom for the colon check. I'm gonna have to sleep early tonight, my biological clock's all screwed up and I've done too much shopping. I blame PMS, migraines and procrastination.

So I leave with one last look at this bag of decadence.

B back soon.

Much Acomplain about nothing

Postage rates & postal envelopes are up!

*groan + eye roll + looks of disgust*

Believe me, I'm much less thrilled than you. It means more cash for the sleazy privatised postal system than for me and you. Personal apologies, even though it seems unnecessary for me to do so, on behalf of the expensive postal system & high paypal charges. Hmm, at least post people are doing something for us. Paypal isn't really doing much, isn't it? Sitting back and watching huge percentages + per transaction charges roll in seems rather easy for them. I respect the fact that they are rather "safe" and have continued to use them despite the fact that they are ripping you and me off, for the sole purpose of convenience. Sigh.

I would like to take this blog post opportunity that I will be using registered mail (like delivery confirmation, with a number tagged) from now on, to ensure you receive your goodies and will not lie about receiving them. Yes, I'm direct, and I refuse to play sleazy games of hidden costs some sellers do. In fact, I have absorbed a lot of charges before this, therefore rendering me penniless after paying for postage and materials, thus having to resort to eating instant noodles consistently. Though, contrary to popular belief, I still refuse to charge a price I won't pay for myself. florspace is a total indie boutique shoppe with fabulous materials, good workmanship, quirky & unique stuff you won't find at the crowded malls and on top of all that, personalised service with a smile. Ask your local stinky mall shops to beat all that! :P

So, to announce that and that, your postage charges included paypal service charges, bubble envelope, shipping costs, & registered mail costs. Of course, I personally hate to be overcharged as well so, please feel free to drop me a mail if you feel you have been overcharged and I'll be more than happy to give you a breakdown of everything.

There, I said it.
