Drawstrings!

Drawstrings aplenty! Its yummy drawstrings time at florspace. We love them so much and people are requesting them for on-the-go knit goods, kid's toys, gym gear, travel laundry, unmentionables transport.....wow the list could go on! They're super duper fun to create, while they take up quite a bit of fabric, it looks so cute in the end! I love the end product everytime and regardless of how it gets measured, somehow it seems to have a little mind of its own, ending up cute all the time! hehe

I particular love the Cherry Trees GM size one above! I love large drawstrings myself and use a couple depending on when and where. Let's see...I use one for gym which has straps for hanging onto the hooks when I shower; it stows my shower things and clean underwear + the towel actually fits in too! I love that I don't have to put my things anywhere else coz I doubt the cleanliness of public places a lot. :P Speaking of, I use another for bed clothes and unmentionables when I travel since they can be kept clean and safe. I like having clean bed clothes and underwear to look forward to at night. Regardless of how icky and horrible the day turns out to be. :+) They are very lightweight, yet strong enough to carry clothings. You can also fold them up and carry them with you for groceries and extra things you might need to carry in your day! I also use 2 on the hooks in my room near the door for storage of knick knacks. Also PM sizes are best for small things like memory sticks goes into my everyday tote. Wow...thats a lot of drawstrings!

The best thing I like about them is that they are so easy to care for! Just invert them, throw them in with your usual laundry, take them out, reshape and air-dry! No dryer coz they can shrink, just like your sweaters can felt!

2nd Day of SALE - Updates, NEWS + new stuff!

We're kinda pooped! But we're happy that quite a number of you guys chose us for your christmas presents! HUGE thanks and hugs go out to you! It's really heartening to know that yummy purses are reaching people. No more crummy store-bought ones. ;+) Anyways, bet you all haven't seen those 3 in years. LOL Just kidding, prolly just months back. We're completely out of these fabrics and they're reserves, just in case. We took them out and made them into cute MiniZs again! IMO, they are the classics of traditional Japanese designs. Plus the texture makes it so much more interesting.



Of course, we didn't forget to reload Winter Wonderland! Just 2 more, in case you guys need it for gifts. Its such a cute print, I need to hoard more of it for now. ;+)



3 NEW ones! The Carte wallets came before these handy dandys, I know, but the essential MiniZs are out! I love Le Matryoshka Noir because I tend to get careless and drop my purses in the street even though I cringe to think what the sidewalks has seen, so the black background is heaven for me! hehe Obviously Monokuro Boo would be perfect too! It was tough to get the print to centre without wasting large amounts of it. Gotta think more economically. *racks brains*. And, we all need Sundays! The cheery Sunday print is bound to lift just about anyone's mood! Cute sentiments, cute scene & trees at the back. Lemon gingham inside to boot. What could be better than lazing around til noon on Sunday with a good book?

We work in our PJs, so you could shop in it too!

Updates + Pre-Black Friday Sneaks!

Thanksgiving / Turkey Day is coming! How's everyones' gonna be? There's no Thanksgiving here, but I love the tradition so I'm gonna do a little non-turkey version by ourselves here coz there's prolly no turkey til december. I can get turkey sandwiches though. Yum! Its still hot as ever here in singapore. dang, I hate the equater zone. I know I can't complain coz I've got AC and people feel awful being cold all the time in the north & south zones, especially having to take a shower! I wish I could pass on the heat to you guys! Hang in there, you guys!

Boy, I'm still sick. I have one of these every year and after the chocolates & incessant snacking during the exams, throat infection came. My throat problems are recurring, its always very dry, itchy & painful. Bouts of coughing streaks leave me gasping for breath. The people on the bus I took to get home from the concert last Thursday thought I needed the hospital. Pray it'll go away soon!

How many of you guys actually recycle the plastic baggies I send out? Be honest! Actually, its prolly easier said than done! Reuse it my friends. Store beads, buttons & whatnots. Don't be a tosser! Tough, but it'll get easier, you'll see!

Its my birthday soon and I've been dying to lose the professional-looking plastic wrappings for the purses in my store, at least for a while! I send out all purses wrapped nicely in resealable plastic bags so they would look good, repel impending dirt & would make great gifts. But its time to lose the bags for the greater good! Think about it! No bags to recycle, no hassle, no guilt and if you're wrapping them as gifts anyhoo, it'll be perfect naked! Or even better, some of my dear people actually use the purses as the wrapping themselves! Put something nice in it and off you go! Purses will come semi-wrapped in clean & available recycled paper, tied with a twine.

Op to have your purses sent without the plastic wrappings and you get 2 bucks off each purse! That means, MiniZs are $5 and MiniBs are $7! Tell me to lose the bags in the "notes to seller" section when you order at etsy. Stock up for gifts and Christmas!

Mushie shoutout

Just wanna do a little shameless shoutout for these 2 fab wristlets who just got relisted. The listings expired in May but I hadn't brought them along with me to Sydney so I thought I'll relist them only when I got back. And I went and forgot all about poor them til couple of days later.



There's absolutely nothing wrong with them. In fact, they are well amost perfect. I love the sturdy retro mushrooms fabric. Prolly perfect for throwing stuff in. I must say I choose my fabrics really particularly. No wimpies for hardy wristlets and bags! Hopefully someone adopts these cuties!

We've reached the big number! 1000 items sold to be exact! Its not a meaningless milestone for once! Monumental? We're beaming & grinning silly at the number on screen! LOL Its been such a great trip, discovering etsy, meeting awesome etsyers, having people buy our stuff and telling us they love us and the stuff we do, its SO much more heartening than a bottle of champers. Gigantic Market Tote!

I'm pretty sure we all want a great looking market tote that will actually hold the kitchen sink! Well, here it is! I can't believe I finished it a while ago and didn't get to list it. Ok, maybe I secretly wanted to keep it. Anyways, I've decided since its already Spring, I'm letting it off On Sale! I'm loving the print a lot and I've matched it with a cream canvas cotton inside. Both fabrics are heavy weight home-dec and I wanted it to be soft and easy, I didn't add interfacing. Trust me, the bag will carry the sink. I can imagine produce and potted plants from the Sunday markets! Oh how I miss them! And how perfect would this be! Be the talk of town! And if you're not up for the prints, turn it over for a creamy day. No exposed seams means its really reversible! Yaaay!

Spring Sale!

We've decided to put a whole bunch of really great MiniZs on sale at 5 bucks! They're perfect for gifts! One very nice lady told me she used it to put jewellery in them for presents. Imagine how cool it would be to receive something like that! People also use it as a wallet, camera, cell phone, mp3, usb, computer gadgets case, lippy, mints, pads, whatever you can think of that fits! Throw them around, use it to bits, thats what they are for! Each one is painstakingly made, stress points are double stitched with quality materials to withstand the most gruelling of lives!

If they get icky, soak in a bit of gentle detergent to ensure the print doesn't come off and wash. If you're really lazy, throw it in a laundry bag and into the machine, short cycle. You can do that with clothes only if you're sure the pieces in the load are colorfast! ;+)

Autumn Trees + OnSale!

Its loose! The 2nd last Autumn Trees cube ever to be released. I'm so sad as I recall cutting up the last bits of this print for the cubes and I've secretly held on to these for a while! LOL I'm in 4 minds if I wanna let the last one go so this might be the last one you'll ever see in the store! Oh, if anyone has this fabric & wanna sell it or have seen it someplace, I'm dying to have it! I don't even have the secret stash anymore, I swear. I'm loving the Japan import Clover gunmetal snaps a lot and prolly gotta find another gray/black tone print to put them on. They seem to look good only with the right fabrics. This came to mind, "Like couture, if it doesn't fit perfectly, its a disaster." (said Juliette, Petrovsky's ex-wife from SATC) That said, Autumn Trees isn't couture, but I'm very picky about visual pleasantries. ;+)
