Where's my stuff?

**updated 17th March 09.

Just an FAQ blogpost for unreceived mails/packages.

All florspace orders are packed in good order, endevored to be shipped usually within 3 business days after payment is received, unless public holidays or unforeseen circumstances. Packages are sent registered airmail, which means your order comes with a tracking number, insured for up to S$60 ONLY. Should you require more insurance, let us know beforehand.

After shipping, we will input the tracking number against your payment at paypal and paypal will send you thr tracking notice.

Your article can be tracked here. Information available is sparse, usually an email would have to sent to the SingPost system for more information. Note that exchange of info is required between the postal systems at your end and our end, so time is required for that. Singpost quotes up to 2 months for the exchange of info.

The most annoying and common cases are lazy postman who forgot to leave a notification card at your door when they attempt to deliver your package. Always try at your local PO with the tracking number to see if your package is already waiting there for you. Usually that is the case. Do email me for your tracking number if you did not get anything from paypal.

Do recognize that there's always a risk for online purchases as the physical package would have to go through the shipping system, which isn't always the easiest to deal with. We buy online ourselves a lot too. Its almost awful for us to say, as soon as the package leaves our hands at the PO, we have no control over it. Its harsh, yet tearfully true. We would still endevor to keep you guys happy, as we treat you as we would like to be treated ourselves.

Remember to always be nice. Its much easier that way. :+)

More tote sets...

I'm not sure but I suddenly experience tremendous joy in cutting up huge pieces of fabric. Its kinda weird coz in the end, the bag turns out smaller than the gigantic pieces inititally. But really, nothing beats making these tote sets. The amount of work is giving me chronic back muscle pains but somehow, there's something about the exuberance of the images on the totes that seems so enticing to see it in person! On Tuesday, I even found the courage to cut up the half a yard of the blush pink version of Branche. My chest sorta tighten a little when I did but when the tote finally got completed on Friday, I sighed in relief and maybe accomplishment! You might ask, its a pretty simple tote, what's the idea? Well, I relish in simple designs coz I would very much prefer to let the beautiful fabrics I use speak for themselves. Besides, my little impromptu research over the years as a bag user, shows that a high percentage of us actually reach for a frills-free tote as a default everyday tote. Here, I'm obviously trying to convince everyone this is something you'll pick up everyday before you leave the house! ;+)

ps, I am desperately trying to find a way to reduce international shipping. Because of the layers of interfacing and heavy fabrics, a tote set tend to weigh a bit, not to mention some extras I throw in. I might have to find a cheaper source of bubble envies or maybe absorb a bit of the shipping? Hmm.

Update - Shipping recalculated and much reduced. Hopefully the tote sets will get to travel a little further this time!

Cube Wallets

I've caved in and released a handful of these cuties~! Yaaaay! I've been getting requests for cubes these weeks. Is it the summer? ;+) Anyways, I've also found a more reasonable PO for a little less in shipping. Actually its also my again bursting suitcase that really needs help! Thanks to the wonderful girls who grabbed a bunch of my MiniZs, I'm a bit less in weight.

More listing, less talking! If you're seeing a wallet that I've not listed, let me know and I'll do my best to get them up. Its my last week in Sydney and DH is demanding 24 hours of my time before I return to sauna Singapore. Yikes.

***Aussies, your postage is really cheap so do pick something up while you can! ^___^

EDIT: Just to show I'm not "profiting" or "charging for paypal/etsy fees", here's a receipt of the recent single cube wallet to Zone 4, everywhere. Its $10.30 for the shipping and $1 for the post bag. Crazy crummy prices! I even got sympathies from the nice post lady, though I still had to foot the bill. Not complaining but crazy mad at Australia Post and thinking about my poor customers. Shall we ship from Singapore instead? It'll be 7 bucks registered and it covers almost everything. For now, I'm sticking to charging $9 for shipping. I'll pay the 2 bucks, for now, coz its so crummy for you guys to pay $11. I'll change the shipping to $7 on Friday 27th coz I'll be shipping from Singapore on the 1st of July. And it'll be $7 from then forwards. Clear?

Sydney Shipping ALERT

I've got BAD news. AusPost is extremely inconsistent. I posted an order of 2 MiniZs & a keyring toy a couple of days ago for $2. Today for exactly the same package, its $8.80. Service is by exactly the same guy (jerk?) at the St Leonards PO. I'm not sure what to think. I'm still basically in shock. He coldly said that it just passed the letter standards. WTF. And he said we can't register packages to the USA. And Myer is having a "Myer heart new york" thing? Jesus Christ.

Ok, here's what we'll do for florspace orders. Desperate situations call for desperate measures.

I will not be listing new stuff until the last week of June when I can send packages from Singapore instead when I'm back. Shipping charges is pepetually regular and we'll know what we need to pay instead of $2 a day and $10 the next. Besides Auspost won't let us register packages so its hopeless if something gets lost.

So much for bringing my shop over. This place is just full of surprises.

ps: if you're within Australia and wish to see my Cube collection I'd brought with me, send me an email. :+) Postage for you guys would prolly be more decent.

To Odds'n'Blobs : Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you! I thought I was the only silly one complaining about AusPost! Oh big sighs anyhoo. I'm still praying it'll get better someday. :P
