I've got BAD news. AusPost is extremely inconsistent. I posted an order of 2 MiniZs & a keyring toy a couple of days ago for $2. Today for exactly the same package, its $8.80. Service is by exactly the same guy (jerk?) at the St Leonards PO. I'm not sure what to think. I'm still basically in shock. He coldly said that it just passed the letter standards. WTF. And he said we can't register packages to the USA. And Myer is having a "Myer heart new york" thing? Jesus Christ.
Ok, here's what we'll do for florspace orders. Desperate situations call for desperate measures.
I will not be listing new stuff until the last week of June when I can send packages from Singapore instead when I'm back. Shipping charges is pepetually regular and we'll know what we need to pay instead of $2 a day and $10 the next. Besides Auspost won't let us register packages so its hopeless if something gets lost.
So much for bringing my shop over. This place is just full of surprises.

Thanks for everyone's recent orders but due to a crazy busy week of tests, assignments and projects, I can only make a postal run on Saturday morning. I'm pretty much packed 9-9 everyday which isn't really good for post. Everything's packed and ready to go so no worries. To know when I've mailed your package, check for records on etsy or you'll receive a shipping notice from me with the tracking number. My sincere apologies and I promise it'll get better! Though, if your order is urgent, let me know asap so I can do something.
Ok, with the important note out of the way, I was supposed to write this last night or monday night. I realised my situation just got really bad so I thought I'd better update everyone. Its been a really bad time for me, with very very little sleep and its made me super cranky! I'm really lucky to have mum helping me with sewing. There's very little time to sew these few days and I'll prolly not get to do that for a while. I'm dreaming a lot about the needle of my machine going up and down. LOL I'm still secretly caressing and sniffing my fabrics, just to curb the addiction. sigh. So.very.tired. I miss eating wafer flowers in the night.
I was bored the other night so I carved these at 4am coz I was too hyped up to sleep after doing a project report. They don't look fantastic coz I'm still very much a novice at stamp carving but really hope I'll get better with practice! DH got me a whole load of rubber stamp carving things from his trip the last time and snail mailed it to me as a birthday pressie! Oh and he included a simpsons DVD pack too. I can't remember which season it is but its got maggie on it. It'll add to my collection. Woo-hoo! New Simpsons DVD to spice up my old re-runs! I wanna take a pic of the pressie but you know, work and all. I'm hardly ever home in the day and its the best time to take pics. Night pics are forever crummy!
FAA orange parcel swap package received! Last weekend I made a patchwork out of the materials in the packages hoping to have time to turn them into a bag this weekend. Here's hoping! Thanks everyone who sent my such fabulous things. Oh, one of the packages included a round tin of lifesavers. My classmates had a swell time over the design of the push tin. They thought it was a twisty top but turns out its a press top and puff sides for closure. We had a good laugh over people who didn't get it. Suffice to say the yummies inside didn't last long either!
Oh wait, I'm in blogging in class. Gotta go!
I made a terrible mistake. I didn't use bcc for the recent florspace update email. I'm terribly terribly sorry to everyone who's on that list. I know how annoying that is and I hate for it to happen to me too. I didn't want to annoy people further by sending another email so I'm putting up an apology here. I'm sincerely and truly sorry for the boo-boo. I'd totally understand if you decide to hate me. :~(
For everyone who's on that list, please don't share those emails coz its really unethical to do that. It was my mistake so please don't make it criminal on my count!

Crap, I shouldn't even be awake. I have classes in the morning and I'm known to get really upset without enough sleep, i.e. 10 hours. Yeah, DH thinks I sleep too much so I remain cute & childlike. Don't people get it? I hate being called cute. LOL

And, I did set up florspace.com but its not up yet. Most of my stuff are still on etsy. I need help with building a website. Anyone wanna do it for a penny? I know, I know, I prolly should DIY. But with school and making stuff, I can hardly find time to breathe. And etsy's been giving weird problems lately. I'm taking hours to do listings coz it keeps gettin stuck. Jez, we're paying fees, dude!

Its been a long wait or what?! Well, not so long for me coz I'veen been busy preparing for this big launch. Yeap, I'm finally deciding to bust out with my private loot in very very limited numbers so hurry if you love them coz no more thereafter! just a short post to say that I will try not to post re-runs of purses here since they take up space for new designs. You can either check my shop, or haggle me for it.
My fabrics are strictly limited to about 6 - 8 purses only. Sometimes less, it depends on the fabric size. So if they run out, it really depends on if I can obtain more of the fabric. Otherwise, look out for spanking new designs! ;+) Haggle me.
My exams are in december so things might be slow from november onwards to bury myself in my books instead of my fabrics even though I love fabrics more!
But I will launch my latest collection and be back for Christmas! ;+)

I can't help poting a shout-out. It makes me suicidal. I can't find these fabrics that I want. There's the sheep print, the ones with trees, owls, mushrooms, you name it. They are Japanese canvas, very cute, very elusive. Forget ebay, they kicked me off for god-knows what reason which I don't seem to be able to resolve with them. Not to mention the lousy fees and bad reputation - read LVMH vs. ebay on Reuters. Sorry, ebay-fanatics, but I've been using ebay for 7 years now and for them to ban me for no good reason gives me a darn good reason for me flame them.
Then again, I've got better things to do. Like search for these fabrics.
Unfortunately, I've searched most of where I live and no luck. I also tried Kitty-craft(closed at the moment), Reprodepot, superbuzzy, fabric tales but tnothing yet. Don't get me wrong, they have fantastic fabrics and I've ordered some but nothing like those printed canvas yet.
Then there's this woman who sells them on ebay singapore and she's pretty rude and the prices are crazy, its like 2.5 FQ for average US$30?! I don't think so. She wasn't friendly in her email either. Sorry to the lady, if you're ever reading this.
So etsyers, flickr friends and blog readers...IF YOU EVER COME ACROSS THESE FABRICS, PLEASE, CONTACT ME. I really really want them and if you'd be nice enough to sell them reasonably or swap with my stuff, even my first born, I will seriously consider.

*yikes* I can't get to sleep and its 4am on a Friday night, not to mention that I have classes early Saturday, means a couple of hours from now. I was sewing all day today coz I went out on Thursday, my birthday, to pick up supplies! I had great deal from some really nice people! I think I made like 7 mini zippereds and finished my friend's custom foldover. Not quite finished yet coz the straps and embellishments are not done yet. Can't wait to though! I think I love what I do too much. I mostly do something I love rather than do something to sell it. Maybe unless its purple. haha I hate purple and have no idea why. I love the smell of lavender though. Then one day my other half said, "but thats purple too!"
So, I wanted to do some informative posts alongside my colorful purses! Some of you may have noticed that the zippers I use are not the official ones for bags, i.e., with the bigger zip heads, a bit cutout circle at the end types and with bigger plastic teeth. Thing is, I find them rather plastiky and loud, coz everytime you zip them apart, they make this really loud zippy noise thats unnerving. :P I mean, who needs to know you're zipping apart your purse? *LOL* And the other thing is the big plastic teeth kinda tends to get caught in the fray strings of your bag, pocket, hair?, etc. So, with my "experience" of the bag zippers, however much or bit, I choose to use the ones for clothes instead. They are slimmer in everyway. Maybe even classier? The zip heads are smaller, which means it won't get in the way or stick out if you decide to stuff your purse into your pocket. But I choose the ones with the little hole at the end of the zip head so if you're the compulsive sort and need to add a dangle to your purse, you can still do so. ;+) The zip body is a lot finer so the teeth probably has a very slim chance to get caught in anything. Best thing? Its really "soft" when you zip them apart so no one knows you're secretly hiding something or um, whatever it is you wanna do...
Yeah, thats it.
It must be the double shot espresso I had this afternoon.
