300th post - This Modern Life

Sighted at My Modern Metropolis.com. Oh, this is looks bit like me! I feel kinda guilty about it, sitting in front of the computer ever so often. I'd hug the computer than spend a day shopping in the streets! I could practically live online! Oh the internet....what would I do without you? I shudder that it could disappear one day.

Apparently, we can't do without the internet! 92% of UK citizens are unprepared to live without broadband. Hear hear!

ps: woo-hoo! I made it to 300 posts! I was never good with commitment. LOL

The week before thanksgiving

Can't believe its almost thanksgiving! Came across this while surfing for baked goods and chocolates. Don't they look adorable?! Bakerella is so right on for the title, "" You'll want to gobble these right up!" They're made of yummy choco and other yum stuff! Would impress the in-laws kids though. *wink* But then if I made them, they'll never make it out the door.

I need to bake soon! What are you guys gonna do for thanksgiving? Are the city people going to visit the folks for turkey? Hmm....they should have thanksgiving here.

Eye check for the year!

Oooh! I got excited when I saw this really cool calendar at Design Milk! Its called the Seeing Eye Calendar from Numbered Type. I adore their caption! - "I can't quite see what's happening at the end of the month!" roflol. *love*
Eye check for the year? Check.

I watch Simpsons and House a lot, I adore witty remarks and sarcasm loads. ;+)

Friday

Its Friday, another end of the week. Warning: Negativity ahead. I feel like running away again. When I was younger, november and december used to be the holiday period that everyone looks forward to, both from school and the Christmas. Now its all about wedding season. The stress from the weddings are stressing me out, and poor Charlene too. We both pray for it to be over soon. I want a peaceful christmas. Maybe I should put that on my list.

I was working thru some stockings today and it hit me again; what am I doing with my life? Is chasing money the only way to go? Everyone here seems to think so (i.e. - Singapore). They all ask me to get a REAL job. Often, people are judgmental about what I do. I really do not care about the money. I'm eating instant noodles everyday and haven't really bought clothing in a year. If I live for money, I'd be some brain-dead accountant by now, sitting in a 5 by 5 box, doing a job for a boss that couldn't care if I were dead or alive and would replace me in a heartbeat if I were found dead at my desk. Diagnosis? Overworking. I'd seriously rather be a hobo. I'm sick of being judged. Quit bugging me with the fact that you're swinging the latest Coach bag (or cell phone, gadget, shoes, whatever the f*** it is) in my face or that I should get married and have kids, that I shouldn't grow old alone. Maybe I want to. I said it before and I'll say it again to the juveniles, & open your freakin ears this time - I live my life the way I want to. If I fry, I'll die happy.

I think I was happier in Sydney. With good weather, less humidity, a lot more personal space, no crazy upstairs neighbors, and the possibilities of living an alternative lifestyle, than just being in the box all my life. Hmm.....I do dream of Cali days too....oh Jek, I do so wanna visit you someday!

.....
p/s: Thanks so much for your comments! Its always to great to hear you guys! Forget choco ice-cream, encouraging words are so much better!

Beads By Laura

Whoa, these few days have been mad! We're busy like bees during honey season, just alternating between packing orders (which take a surprisingly long time!), answering emails & convos, cutting up fabrics & things, getting them ready for sewing, the actual production process, quality testing, pressing, shooting (only in bright daylight!), resizing & listing them! Oh and not forgetting posting them on flickr, blogging about them......yada yadda yaddddaaaa....LOL! Its really a lot of work and we hardly sit at all, maybe just to eat, but we love what we're doing so much, its hardly work! hehe I guess people who love to make stuff would know what I'm talking about. ;+)

Anyhoo, besides all that stuff, I managed to snap up these 2 adorable & beautiful strawberries by the very talented Laura! She blogged about florspace just a day ago! She makes the most beautiful lampwork beads I've ever seen, like this one *drool* & I'd mentally kicked myself for missing these. I never thought much of lampwork beads before Laura came along. I think its prolly because I've never seen something that pleases this much! I've been a fan since she did a trade with me and sent me a cute-as-hell mushroom pendant I still wear very often! I swear I feel like I can almost eat it! Thing is, she's one girl, which means...her beads are very limited in quantity! Be sure to check in with her very often to jump in on the beads you want. I'd always missed the pretty ones but maybe its fate, or the right timing that I managed to hog these! Yaaaay! I can't wait for them to come! Early chrissie pressie for moi. To hell with the tattle-tail snowman. :P I know santa likes me.

Updates + Pre-Black Friday Sneaks!

Thanksgiving / Turkey Day is coming! How's everyones' gonna be? There's no Thanksgiving here, but I love the tradition so I'm gonna do a little non-turkey version by ourselves here coz there's prolly no turkey til december. I can get turkey sandwiches though. Yum! Its still hot as ever here in singapore. dang, I hate the equater zone. I know I can't complain coz I've got AC and people feel awful being cold all the time in the north & south zones, especially having to take a shower! I wish I could pass on the heat to you guys! Hang in there, you guys!

Boy, I'm still sick. I have one of these every year and after the chocolates & incessant snacking during the exams, throat infection came. My throat problems are recurring, its always very dry, itchy & painful. Bouts of coughing streaks leave me gasping for breath. The people on the bus I took to get home from the concert last Thursday thought I needed the hospital. Pray it'll go away soon!

Anyhoo, down to business. We're having the Black Friday-Weekend BIG SALE! 3 whole days of shopping in case you miss Friday's! Everything's gonna be 20% off, even the new stuff, so if you've been eyeing something in our store, mark your calendars! You don't wanna miss this one! Isn't it much nicer to sit home & shop than to jostle with the crowd out there? hehe Oh well, but we know you'll need to run to the toy store to get that elusive doll for little Nancy before it gets sold out! But we got your purses stocking stuffing covered! Yaaaay!

.....
Black Friday-Weekend Sale Conditions:
1) Reserved, preorders, customs not included in the sale
2) Sale items are not included

The Animal Lovers Club - 3 new ones!

Yaaaay! We have 3 new ones for the animal lovers! Meet The Breakfast Cat, Doggie Parade & Dog Park! Many of you pet owners have been asking me for cute prints for purses, even leash bags for your pooches/cats! Well, its taken a while, but here you go guys, the cutest I can lay my hands on! You'd already know how picky I am, so to find decent quality fabric & cute prints was tough! These made the cut, so you don't have to hunt like a tiger for them! hehe We do have more prints for the animal parade, but these 3 looked so lovely together! They mark the start of our little animal collection! Whee!

Cubes!

Oh cubes! Can't say how much I love them! I love thinking about them, cutting up fabric and painstakingly making them into perfect little cuties that are fit for the real rough reality, yet maintaining its absolute cuteness! How do I do it, asks many a peeps. Well, I just do work really hard on it though its hardly work to me. ^____^ Hmmm......I prolly say this one too many times but maybe it because I think so much about purses, I hardly ever deviate from it anymore. My life is such a wonderful patchwork of ever evolving, fabulous fabrics! Its like living a dream, everyday.

Here I present a wonderful batch of cubes, (only 2 left in my shoppe as we speak!) of my current favourite fabrics, by Shinzi Katoh and the new kid, In The Woods. I love this print a lot. Somehow it reminds me of Autumn Trees that has been long gone, split & made into purses & cubes for quite a number of wonderful people across the globe. I wish her well! In The Woods is less monotonous, with bit more colors and animals illustrating this beautiful time the woodland animals are having among the pretty olive green trees. Its my new fav!

Update: In The Woods have been sold out, but we're working on more to come in!

3 new ones....plenty more coming!

Woo hoo! 3 new ones just hit town! We have Only Strawberries on the top left corner, Streets of Paris in Bleu and Fruits Bunny Kawaii! Only Strawberries is also available in Carte Wallet so do scoot over and check it out! Streets of Paris have been tremendously popular and I've been hoarding the pretty blue one for ages now. Ditto for hoarding Fruits Bunny Kawaii! Yikes. In fact, Fruits Bunny have been back for a while. She was lugged back by me personally from Japan! Hiding in some dark corner, she's seeing the pretty lights of day again! Yaaay!

Truth is, I do hoard too much, but there's SO many fabulous fabrics out there and I only got 2 hands! I can't work fast enough! *sweat*

More a-comin'! yaaaay!

Sanrio Plush Tape Measure - found!

Ooooh yaaaaay!! I had to squeal in delight when I found these babies at a store recently! I know how much I've yearned for cute measuring tape but the Decole ones were either too pricey or virtually nowhere to be found. So I was really darn happy to find these! They are real squishy plush, handy dandy retractable tape measure! Measures up to 60 inches, or 150 centimetres. The material is fabulous to touch & they come in really cute boxes! Plus, they are definitely Sanrio Originals, I won't buy otherwise! I think they make crafting so much more fun!

I've gotten only 2 of each extra for you guys, so do get in quick if you want one! I'm shipping the box flat between cardboard to ensure it gets to you perfect. Its the perfect gift for a crafter!

Just $12, right here!

Snowy Village

These fancy new cuties just made it into the shoppe! Yaaay! I had scoured for cute Christmas prints for quite a while, coz well, christmas is my favourite holiday. I'd always dream about falling snow in picturesque tiny villages all covered in white with specks of light at dusk. Imagine the warmth of celebrating the holidays with loved ones at home by the fireplace in some log cabin. It seems so lovely. This print pretty much covers that! Unfortunately I'm stuck in a summer equater zone all my life, and Christmas downunder during uni days was, well, always hot. Ironic, isn't it?! So that dream of mine never really came true, which is why I had to have whatever's left of these 2 cute prints! I'd only have an FQ of each and I'm saving the rest for framing. ;+)

They come from Japan quite a few years back, so you might not see them hanging around anymore and with only 2 MiniZs of each color in the world, you're prolly going to be the envy of people! Features speckles of snow in a village of little people, churches, houses, trees & equally cute animals! Because it isn't red or green, you can carry it all year round without the christmas suspicion. How cool!

Just $7 each, right here!
Update - ONLY 1 Left! (boy they are running out fast!)
Update - Sold out! Working on 4 more! yaay!

more Christmas prints available!

Let freedom RING!

I knew about prop 8 and begged californians to vote no. What the fuck happened?! As I was browsing thru Offbeat bride (one of my fav blogs for all the fab unconventional weddings), I saw this post. All the while, I've saluted Calis for their bravery to come of the closet & say yes to same-sex marriages. Poor Alan woke up one day to find his union illegal. Its absolutely unthinkable, I'm speechless! I do strongly believe everyone has the right to fall in love and sanctify their union. Doesn't matter if they choose to do it, they must have the freedom to do that! Alan's post (from OBB),

"So, I awoke this morning to learn that my relationship with my partner is no longer valid. It’s no longer legal. It’s somehow sub-par, not equivalent, not worthy of protection. And you know what? I’m pissed and tired of holding it in.

I decided to snap a photo of my wedding band placed on a slightly different finger than normal to express exactly how I feel toward every single person who voted Yes on Prop 8. It’s my personal version of ‘let freedom ring’. The battle for equality changes course but it’s very far from over.

I’m sure some of you will believe in Prop 8 and that’s your right. Please make sure to update your reader to remove my blog and to delete any bookmarks to my site. I won’t take it personally but as for Prop 8 and your intrusion on my life … I take it very personally.

I welcome supporters of gay rights to snap your own photo showing your wedding ring on your middle finger. Spread the word that this fight isn’t over. Whether you’re gay, straight, bi, white, blue or tan — show your support by letting freedom ring on your blog! Please forward this page to any friends and family who may find it of interest."

Today, I put out my middle finger in public, with my promise ring (I'm not married yet) to show the world my disgust at the people in power taking freedom away from the people.

(I'm sorry, Obama, I love you, but I can't think of a reason to oppose same-sex marriages!)

Its over.

Boy am I tired. The last paper came and gone, devastating my being the likes of Katrina. I was never good at cost management yet life somehow manages to throw it at me, time and again. I've been doing accounting since high school and not that I loathe it completely, it just takes up way too much energy and in the end, I just feel sad and empty, like all the effort put in was worth naught but the hollow feeling in my chest. After today's paper, I left feeling more haunted than ever. I know I made terrible mistakes in formulas and calculations so the fear of repeating this module is becoming clearer and more real than ever. Re-doing the exam alone would be fine, but worst yet, there's a project and presentation. Going through all that again is quite like fighting yet another war. After yet another war(semester), when all that's left are war wounds and self-doubt, I do wonder, what's it all really worth?

At the end of it all, all we get is a piece of paper, like a veterans medal, where 10,000 others have the same, it feels so mediocre & quite meaningless. (The fresh-baked pizza mom bought for dinner was way better.) Sometimes, I do feel that a purse well-made and seeing the smile on people's faces when they receive them is so much more rewarding.

And I'll do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Countdown

Boy its tough to find a decent christmas countdown! Maybe the guys ain't getting busy before Thanksgiving. This was kinda the cutest I could find. But I really wanted something smaller to fit to the sidebars. There's some here though I recommend changing the size from 250 to 200 or less to fit nicely for blogger-peeps. I love the one above but it won't fit into the sidebars and the down-to-second counting tends to stress me out a bit. LOL

Something to put us in the christmas mood - countdown banners, fun christmas stuff, email santa, make christmas stuff! Check out Martha's Christmas page too. And buy florspace for Christmas! ;+)

Also, its still not too late to get organized for christmas! Do it early, it pays!

Homer for Prez!

PieDisliker on youtube says, "Forget Obama, forget McCain, even forget Fred and Boxman! Homer '08. We like donuts, too. " I love this guy!

Watch this, if you haven't already!

Change

Just want to say congratulations to Barack Obama! 44th prez of the US of A ain't gonna be easy but I've always had so much faith in him since it all started. Secretly I hope he'll kick Clinton's ass and kept my faith til the end with old, white McCain(no offence!). Didn't wanna say nothing coz well, this ain't a politico-bloggy anyhoo. hehe I think he'll do a great job and change is really upon all of us (for the better!) and for once, the African-Americans finally get a chance at the big time. I'm sure his granny would've been so proud of him. I love our blacks so much, ever since Snoop Dogg. My current fav is TIP. God his rap in Last Night was the dope (Pharrell too!). Ahh, but of course I still love the number with JT.

As I quote Samantha from SATC, "The country runs better with a good-looking man in the White House." Touché, sister.

Here's to Obama, America and a new league of change and hope. Woohoo!

BOOOooooo!

Original shot by me. Just made it scarier. ;+)

Boy has time flown! I can almost vividly remember my last halloween post and it seems like nothing much has changed! I'm still in the middle of exams....which means I can't go to Cafe Del Mar's beach Halloween thing, even though I'd really want to. Boo. DH is still going to some party with his colleagues tomorrow and his getup is supposed to be some state prisoner. I shudder to think of him staggering home in the middle of the night. I hope the cops don't think he's for real. LOL He loved the halloween pressie though. I got him a L plush (kinda like this) , the Death Note diary & a feather pen (like this). He likes the Death Note stuff. Anyhoo, I was already shopping for christmas cards today while I picked up the lastest issue of Cotton Time & a new Rilakkuma schedule book. I was yearning for something raw and Paris-ty but it didn't quite work out. And I didn't find anything suitable on etsy either. Oh well, one more "lazy" year for me, working with the cute & lazy Rilakkuma. hehe

Oh yes, do print yourself (or someone) a cute halloween card by the ever talented Black Apple! More stuff to marvel, make & do at Templettes.

So whether you're off to some scary party or just laying low watching movies at home, we at florspace wish you a very happy halloweeny!

ps: DH and I were just discussing halloween costumes and it seems its true that for girls, its limited to witch or sexy kitten. He suggested politian (Palin?!) or a zombie bride. Is that all there is? hm.

The Red Marine

I feel so guilty about La Marine Rouge. This beautiful dude was sitting unglamourously backwards on the WIP pile on the sewing table for a good month before I got my tired ass sorted out among the orders to actually finish him up. I had started on him because the beautiful thick yet soft marine canvas was calling my name. "Make me into the ultimate tote!" he'd say. I had to along with that request, seach for the perfect match for the inside. I found Miss Cerulean a little while ago and thought they'd be so happy together. I was worried they'll fight. It took a bit of eye-adjusting but with the slightly lighter cerulean clone, the woven soft cotton straps, we were good to go. Not until I slacked off sewing to hit the books. When it was finished last week, its was such a beautifully unanimous union, it just stands proudly on the photo table. Such eye candy that I've always yearned for. Needless to say, I harbored thoughts of eloping with La Marine.

Sillyness aside, he's one strong dude! Will happily accompany you on beach, market & shopping trips! I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again. Our totes are strong! We tripe stitch every stress point, corners and centers. The straps are gone over twice inside and at least once outside! They'll NEVER come apart, even after going thru the washing machine. We know, coz we've tried. They'll carry plenty, & promise never to complain!

Just one thing, never, ever, try to feed it to your dogs. We don't guarantee that it won't fall apart then!

La Marine Rouge is $65 right here.

CT + mini updates

It was so great to finally meet one of my very supportive customers, CT, yesterday! She had just come back from a trip to Tokyo and had brought me so much goodies I'm so thankful for! A Shinzi Katoh calender and that cute mushroom bowl I've been eyeing for yonkers! Thanks SO much Charlene!

We seem to have so much in common & she's adorable! We chatted for a couple of hours til she got hungry(sorry CT!) and my coffee went cold! I had such a great time with her and it sure was refreshing to find someone who I can talk to freely without the stress of worldy/social pressures. Our interests seem to fall within the same realm of zakka goodies and so much more! I'll be so honored if CT would be my best friend someday! She was also carrying the Biscuit tote from florspace a while ago which matched her cute lemonade top and it looked so cute on her! It made me really proud! hehe Such an amazing experience!

In other news, I found this curiously cute mini version of the DoubleA copy paper which I absolutely had to have. And my law paper went hazily by today. Its a morning paper and I wasn't in great form despite 7 hours of sleep the night before. I pray I've got everything where the marker wants. I only pity the poor marker who has to read my terrible handwriting. I'm infamous for that since junior high. Tsk tsk!

Also I've changed the twitter page a bit, coz Christmas is a-coming!
pssst! More goodies & Christmas Collection will be a-creepin' into the florspace shoppe! + the one of a kind type things you won't wanna miss! Woo-hoo!

Tiny update

Thats my messy pseudo-mantel. It acts as my dresser & music system. The candle is from blisscandles. I can't live without them though its pretty pricey to ship over. I smell them as feverishly as I do Indomie. The smaller travel tin is from a very nice lady at Balmain markets in Sydney. It sports a stronger scent and I can't live without that either. Eagerly waiting new supplies from DH soon.

I've been mugging for exams. Just finished a business stats paper. There wasn't enough time and somehow my brain refused to remember certain proceedures & explainations. Bummer. I had a banana before the paper, just as I always would but this time, it seemed to overly calm my nerves, so much that I became sorta laxed and didn't care. Its not a good sign since I'm really repeating the paper. Might I really be getting old? I heard the older gals lamenting about their failing ability to learn & absorb new things. Or maybe its a selective proceedure? I have no problems making new stuff though. In fact, I keep thinking about them. Oh, then I couldn't sleep the night before thinking about the trip to Cafe Del Mar. Oh, the splashing and cute dudes! Focus.....I have to learn to deal with unwelcomed thoughts to stray me away from fabrics & the scent of the beach.

A paper coming this Tuesday, Company Law, which is what I've been cold-sweating over. I don't hate it, in fact, one of my childhood ambitions was to be a lawyer. Its gonna be a tough paper though. I sat for the mid-term test, expecting a distinction when I got a credit. I was very disappointed since I did work my ass off. I was determined to do well for this one to maintain the distinction average. Boy, it gets tougher. But of course, that determination wavers everytime I hear the sound of the sewing machine motor running. It just has this weird effect on me. And it doesn't help that I'm surrounded with mounds and mounds of yummily yummy fabric, each one calling out to me, begging me to make something out of each one of them. I think I hit my hands when it just reached out to a piece during my exasperating break this morning. I hit my limit this late afternoon when I just had to help my assistant cut up the new fabrics for more Minis this coming season. I worked fast and eagerly! My zeal paled in comparision to burying my head in the statutes & notes. That brought up snickering comments & like clockwork, my chest sunk with guilt, knowing that the clock is ticking down to my doom. My hands continued working without missing a heartbeat. How can they still do that?!

I did manage to finish my notes this evening & somehow found time to enjoy reading thru the statutes. Its weird irony in the end! I plan to hit the questions tomorrow & monday before the eventual judgment day, Tuesday. I fear the worst but hope for the best.

Shinzi Katoh's Mushroom & other hobo stories

Its exceedingly difficult for me to stop thinking about mushrooms, big and small, cute or classy. Its 3am here and I'm having trouble sleeping. This hobo keeps staring at me in the face. I hop on over to blogger and start to write....

I have a long standing love with Shinzi Katoh, ever since the Branche print came out, I'm floored. I rushed to grab one of his shorty totes in the Branche print. Sadly, it wasn't to my expectations as the material was a tad lumpy and the construction was a little shoddy. Was it my tote, I wondered. I never did quite use it. It sits in my wardrobe with my collection of not-quite-right bags. How many of us have that problem already? Strangely, my shoes are getting plenty of action. As I get fitter from my gym classes, my heels got higher. I even got semi-drunk on Moet during Sunday night's uncle's 65th birthday dinner. How can I refuse my dear uncle? The Moet was definitely the cherry on top of the ridiculously yummy fudge cake. I have a new addiction because of that. But I digress!

So how did panel hobos come about? 4 scores & 7 years ago(nah, not that long!), I remembered I had a piece of the Safari Dream print fabric lying around. Not big enough for a tote, not right enough for a wallet or anything else. I wanted to do something that would efficiently use the entire piece without wastage. I did a bit of shifting with fabrics and came up with the panel hobo. One of my biggest customer had to have it when shown the picture & snapped it up without waiting for it to run live on etsy. I had the same piece of fabric in about the same size for the Shinzi Katoh prints and thought I could do the same thing coz I seriously loved the panel look. It took some practice to get it perfect & as I worked on it, I fell in love with it and started working on a more of it. A bunch of wonderful people felt the same and couldn't resist them! I was more than happy to hear wonderful things they had to say about the reversibility and the cuteness. Lucky that I had the canvas red gingham on hand for Mushroom & Stroll. They work beautifully together & I'm always over the moon when I see them click like magic.

Of course, people in florspace have a weird tendency to love mushrooms. We eat them, think about them, make them and love them. I think they're awesome! Maybe one day they'll talk!

Mushroom Magic! Yaaaay!

Red & oh-so-brighty
White & very spotty
Staring at me
innocently naughty

Grown in spurts
He is stumpy, she is mighty
They are tall
All so spotty

Watch the feet!
Watch those hands!
I'm a cutie
but not for tummy

The winds gently breeze
Never shy nor lethargic
swaying in the fields of green
Mushroom magic!

Tagged - 7 facts about moi

I got tagged! By the cute lostmitten. Thanks girl! (More homework for me. hehe)

Here's the rules and my 7 facts afterwards:
1. Link to your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog - some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blog.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

7 facts about moi... (I shall stay away from repeating. And may change without notice. Take with a pinch of salt. Pan-salt if you're on a diet.)

1) I'm very antsy about being clinically clean. I wear lounge slippers immediately after the evening bath and my feet never touches the ground. Similarly, I don't touch (or allow anyone to) touch my bed when I'm not showered and ready for bed. I launder feverishly when my stuff comes in contact with foreign material. Its a antagonistic because I get lazy about cleaning my room sometimes.

2) I'm not particularly socially adept in real life. It happens great one day and tomorrow I'm trippin over my spontaneous conversation & constantly say the wrong things. Sometimes I rehearse what I say and go over the conversation again in my head after to search for mistakes. I get tired of talking to real people after a while. Typing makes me feel safer. Sometimes.

3) I'm particular about grammar & pronunciation. Not because linguistics is my major at uni but its always been a passion of mine since kiddy days. This is prolly not a big thing in the 3 core English-speaking areas(America, England, Aust/NZ) but its very prevalent here in SEA. Its gets worse when people hypercorrect when they speak. Its like scratching on the chalkboard to me. Ugh. Also explains why I need to move. Fast.

4) I like CHOCOLATE. Loads of it. They make me happy. Particularly handmade truffles in crushed hazelnut, ganache & rolled in powder. I'm also a sucker for good chocolatey fudge cakes. They have to be less sweet & just-right bitter. Sometimes oreo cheesecake with the crumbled up cookie things they mash up. Mmmm....crumbled up cookie things.....

5) I like clothing made by mom. She's an amazing sewer and totally allows me to make the craziest demands. Plus I get to choose the fabric, which means only the good stuff. Have you seen what people are buying at the malls? I got disgusted recently when people are selling dresses for $80 made with materials that goes for nothing and workmanship that falls apart after one try at the fitting room. Jesus. Why buy crap when I could get quality stuff from mom and wear it to death?

6) I dream of purses & designs all the time. Happens particularly when I'm stressed & pressed for time for schoolwork/exams. The best things seem to popup when I'm stressed. Brings out the best in me I think. I think about construction & deconstruction everywhere. A great design of something else, like a house, can be translated into a purse design in my head. My brain processes thoughts like that all the time. Its uncontrollable & kinda fun actually.

7) I do not think that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Its more like stealing & pure laziness. But crap can be turned into gold these days so, whatever. And most importantly, I stop caring about what people think of me a while ago. I think its time to live for myself. If you're reading this, you could consider that too. :+) Amazingly liberating.

Empty post

I have such bad habits of a neurotic artist. Its bad enough I am rude to people sometimes but I am sick of my life & myself again. I get bored periodically and its happening recently. I need to shake things up, go someplace and hide my wallows of misery away til the motivation comes back. Does it happen to you guys? I feel so small sometimes. Its just a life, why can't I just make it happen? People in war/politically torn countries have it worse. Its self-misery, self-inflicted, yet its inevitable, non?

But of course. Til better times.

ps: My favourite hobos are in the shop now. Do scoot over if you got 5 seconds.

EDIT: Thanks Laura, thats exactly it. But its kinda passing, I think. :+) Its sweet to know I'm not the only one.

Quirky 6

Uh...*scratches head*....I got tagged by the beautiful Hazel (on my birthday, no less!) that I should do a post about "a list of 6 quirky, but fairly ordinary things about myself." This is a dilly of a picker coz I'm so quirky(or so I think!) I don't know where to start. Ok, here goes.

1) I'm kinda extreme. I either binge or eat, save or splurge, laze like never before or work like a um, dog/cow/beaver(?). Kinda explains why I get burned out quickly and also why I get bored of things quickly & thrive on change. In my teens, I actually thought a nomad life would be pretty fun. Now I really want my own home and the ability to travel.

2) I'm sensory-defensive. uh wait, is that normal? I hate crowded, loud, smokey, bright places. Puts my mind into hyperdrive & I want to kill someone. I'm not kid-friendly either. Someone needs to child-proof me.

3) I *heart* the smell & touch of fabrics. My mood can instantly be uplifted when I touch gorgeous/cute fabrics from Japan/eastern European. Is that a fetish? Other mood uplifters are a mug of good earl-grey, re-watching DVDs, fresh new magazines, surprise parcels.

4) I'm really bad at math. I mean really bad. I flunk my 5th grade math because of simple algebra. I can't do number/letter combinations for nuts. Its really bad re-living hell now coz I'm re-taking my Business stats paper for my 2nd degree. Shame on me. I can count money though. So I do accounting. hehe

5) I hate fried onion. Hates it. (Fried onion is the crunchy topping stuff you get on top of chinese food.) I love herbs though.

6) According to DH and Mom, I can pop my eyes like Homer Simpson. And DH would like to add that I move around in bed a lot and I hit him sometimes in my sleep. Oh and once I kicked him off the bed. Yikes.

Conversation over the phone
DH: I got a box from you today.
Me: What? Already? Its only been a week. Ok, don't open it til the end of the month.
DH: Ok...but I can't think of what happens at the end of the month.
Me: *rolls eyes* (Thinks to myself - Halloween, dude!)
DH: Its ok, I can wait til the end of the month.
Me: I can't!
DH: Thats quirky.

Boo.

Urgh. I can't believe its already October! Life has been flying past recently ever since I turned 28 2 weeks ago. Looks like I'm gonna reach 30 soon. I feel this weird pressure to get a real job from society. I'm wonder if its because I'm in the wrong place. Singapore is extremely commercial-minded. Everything's about money and about the best kind of 9-5 one can get. But maybe its not 9-5 but 8-10. LOL I'm definitely enjoying the freedom of creation, school, gym and the occasional dinners/gallavanting with friends. I just came back from one actually.

So, everyone's talking about marriage too. Seems like the whole world is in love and trying to reach that end point of matrimonial bliss. I have trouble committing to just about anything so signing my name on um, virtually anything is quite impossible. I wish the pressure would go away. In fact, I wish for the school days when everyone was alone, or hopping partners. That was the time when possibilities seems endless. Now when everyone's growing up, its all about investments, networking and getting hitched. Its kinda tired, and boring. Everyone's making friends for some kind of underlying reason. Its sinister and rife with uterior motives of a potential partnership in business or in life. Its weird how everything becomes laden with goals and promises. I live in the moment, & talk to people for fun without asking for their numbers. Isn't that a better approach in life that putting pressure & expectations on everything & everyone around us? I have to wonder, is everyone merely out to get something and do we really know what we want & eventually, would we like what we get?

Hm. Growing up sucks.

EDIT: Zizi, I'm flattered! I guess we're still too young for now. Fun's waaaay more important! hehe

Birthday

Yeap, today's my birthday. It seems like I'm edging into an interesting chapter in my life. I don't feel excited about my birthday like I used to. I would jump around, tell everyone its my day and make them say happy birthday. Afterall its the only day I could make everyone do that. Apparently at this time, everything sorta feels bland and exhausting. I know for every passing year, or even day, that I'm closing in on real adulthood - the big 3-0. To me, 30 marks adulthood. When I really have to get serious, don boring suits and get a hellish job where I hide behind mounts of paperwork and don't see the light of day. I'm not sure I look forward to that but maybe the money for a nice apartment and car. Its amazing how much people would go thru for a lifestyle. I do want a life, crave for one, but really unsure if I wanna go to that much trouble. And in fact, would I enjoy it after all that staring at the computer & dealing with ofice politics? Not to mention my terrible phobia of commitment to a job (or anything else for that matter!). I thrive too much on change.

Anyways, its been a really really nice weekend. I had to be in school for most of yesterday for class & projectwork but AJ took me to a concert at The Esplanade. I used to be a regular concert goer but somehow had lost that for sometime. The last time I was there was for The Phantom of The Opera last year. I got kick ass seats for that and it was a great show. We watched A Time To Dance, where the adorable Rossen Milanov was the conductor and the amazing Arabella Steinbacher was the solo vionlist for the second piece, Scottish Fantasy, Op. 46 by Max Bruch. Itw as walking thru Scottish fields! She has amazing control over her violin and can do the most amazing things! But nothing beats watching Rachmaninov live. I didn't quite realise it but I was watching the last composition of Sergei. I personally love Rachmaninov coz its NEVER boring listening to his music. Every piece is like a movie by itself. All the dynamic, dramatic movements....timpanis (!!), very very old world Russian village. I can just feel like I was walking through one and actually experience the life as if he described in his music. Symphonic Dances, Op. 45 is an amazing composition. I can feel his exasperation, his moans & groans, the anger, and mostly his resignation. Its amazing just to watch the music come alive. Its truly one of Rachmaninov's best, considering its his last. I love Rach 2, especially when played by Lang Lang. :+)

Oh but not forgetting to thank dear CT for the wonderful surprise! She gave me a beautiful tea for one set. A really adorable vintage-y country-esque teapot & mug set by Ginger Snaps, Decole! And a beautiful tin of Earl Gray tea from Harrods! I'll picture them a bit later coz I have trouble believing I own the tea set! LOL She's such an amazing person & friend, and for the success of florspace, I have to thank her profusely & publicly! *hugs to CT!*

Oh and of course, DH. I told him not to send anything coz the shipping is pretty nuts from Australia but he did anyways! I just opened the box and its a bit like Christmas morning! He actually found the original M*A*S*H, The Recovery Collection, bought it and sent it here! Goodness me! Tough to believe my eyes so I have it right on my desk, at least for a while! I have been yearning for this set for ages and always panicked when it disappears. Its so hard to find and the last time I looked, only one store in Sydney had it. Not sure how he found it but hoooray for DH! We have the most amazing DVD collection and its growing in numbers all the time! Oh of course, he couldn't help buying Dora. I'm not sure why but he thinks she looks like me. *roll eyes* I don't like her very much though. I much perfer Lilo (& her pet Stitch just in case you were thinking of LindsayL hehe) if I had to pick but oh well. So there, its the birthday girl sitting right up there, excited about all the wonderful surprises she's been getting these days!

And to everyone who's remembered me and have sent their greetings, electronically & via text messages, huge thanks to you guys! I feel all sweet now! *___*

EDIT
ps: I'm only 28 this year. 2 more years for fun! yaaaay! Jek, I like your thinking. ;+)

Let's get naked....

How many of you guys actually recycle the plastic baggies I send out? Be honest! Actually, its prolly easier said than done! Reuse it my friends. Store beads, buttons & whatnots. Don't be a tosser! Tough, but it'll get easier, you'll see!

Its my birthday soon and I've been dying to lose the professional-looking plastic wrappings for the purses in my store, at least for a while! I send out all purses wrapped nicely in resealable plastic bags so they would look good, repel impending dirt & would make great gifts. But its time to lose the bags for the greater good! Think about it! No bags to recycle, no hassle, no guilt and if you're wrapping them as gifts anyhoo, it'll be perfect naked! Or even better, some of my dear people actually use the purses as the wrapping themselves! Put something nice in it and off you go! Purses will come semi-wrapped in clean & available recycled paper, tied with a twine.

Op to have your purses sent without the plastic wrappings and you get 2 bucks off each purse! That means, MiniZs are $5 and MiniBs are $7! Tell me to lose the bags in the "notes to seller" section when you order at etsy. Stock up for gifts and Christmas!

If you want to "naked" any other of my purses, convo me and I'll work out a better deal for you! ;+)

Let's get naked!

(The whole naked idea is borrowed from a dear friend/fellow etsyer/talented girl, Erin @ naiad.etsy.com Do hop on over for great body products!)

Huggable Hobos

"Hi! My name is Soda. I was born on a hot summer day when my creator was dreaming of lime sorbets and the deep blue sea and clear skies of californian beaches!"

Law mid-term is over, bit of window here. Time to talk about the huggable hobos! I love love love hobos! I'm not sure when it started. Hmm....I think it was a couple of years ago? Gucci launched their big and functional horsebit hobos, the one with the tooth/leather rope handle thingy? Jessica Simpson was carrying still with Nick and was lugging a caramel version all over town together with a string of other celebs. Obviously I had trouble paying for something like that, not to mention I was never the Gucci fan. I loved the rich caramel buttery leather but I keep having the PETA voice in my head so I opted for a faux leather version for uni. It went perfectly with anything, I mean ANYTHING! I lugged it in wide-legged tailored pant, denim, even to the beach and it still looked fab every step of the way. The ease of the single handle and fuss-free design made it literally my everyday bag. Just lug and go, my friends would tout.

So there, couple of years later, not to match Gucci or Bottega or anyone else, I made my own. Fabric choice is almost my first priority. I didn't want the hobo to be too structured coz, hell, its a hobo! But but but, I still wanted some sort of form. It needed to be functional yet decent looking at the same time. I went straight for home dec weight canvas. It was the only way to go without the lumpyness of thin cotton or the stiffness of interfacings. To double the fun, and to further maintain the puffy-semi-structured-flowy look, I took the fabric inside as well. The opening of the hobo is about 13-14 inches, big enough to dump things in, but small enough to prevent naughty hands from dipping into your hobo pot. All in all, I could make it reversible! How cool to have the versatility of 2 bags in one! Woo-hoo I thought that hot summer day, Bingo! Naturally the double pleat is to add puff and space for your stuff. The size was made to fit anyone. Its puffy and cute on smaller gals but not ridiculously tiny on my big gals. The wide 4 layer strap is comfy and sturdy on the shoulders. Added a D-ring on the side, so the gals who love to hang something "you" on your bag, go ahead and make it yours! I was ready to take my hobo out! Not sure if its a good thing, coz I came home with several orders for it. :P More work for us! But I feel so happy that you guys find joy in my stuff! Its the greatest payback, ever!

So yeah, thats my little hobo story. Oh wait! The little hobo! LOL I almost forgot about MiniHobo. I've been reading too many bag in bag stories. Hey, we all want more bang for our buck! MiniHobo is perfect for your little girl, or its the perfect cutie for your camera or essentially tinier things that might get lost in the Big mama. ;+) She's reversible too! Yaaaay!

I know Soda's bit summery, but I had to do it! The colors was just begging me to. hehe Anyhoo, Diablo is a real bad ass and Mod Blobs had been SO popular I got orders to fill! I'm still a little weirded out by that. Hm. So yeah, go check them out and I've got a whole pile of fall fabrics just waiting to be turned into Huggable Hobos!

ps: They're Huggable Hobos because if you put something soft in them, they turn into a comforting pillow. Seriously!

My thoughts goes out to them at this difficult time.

I will resume my usual sewing duties this week amongst school stuff. (Took bit of time today to run errands too.)

Looks like Fall....

The beginnings of our Fall Collection. Besides these long awaited additions to the traditional Japanese section to our little store, more things are coming! Apologies to the lovely peeps whos been waiting for these. I'm kinda picky about fabrics and without physically being in Japan, these are my personal selections. I'm particularly in love with the oat background with weeping willow like sakura blooms on it. It looks amazing in person, so understatedly chic and subtle. I know, kinda different from my usual loudly adorable prints! Yeah, we're going subtle for fall.

But, I had to add some cuteness, like the puffy mums (yummo-ly cute!), Luckyness with cute little lucky objects on soft pink & cute hopping bunnies amongst more blooms! Something for everyone there, I hope!

Psst.....I've just overspent on beautiful fall fabrics, expect orange, mustard, olives, blues, blacks and grays on everyday versatile bags! Coming, coming, coming....

Some not so nice updates in my life. I've landed in a big pile of crap, assignments half done because of incompetent & lazy people (deadline is here!), missed test (byebye 10%! yikes.), & a big law test on Saturday. Hm, I realise that when I my deadlines loom, the more I wanna run away from and just make stuff in my own la-la land. I have to learn to like my course more. Seriously. Maybe even love it. DH says, "you're running a biz and you're doing a biz course. whats the problem?" Yeah, like I really run florspace like a biz! Hmm....time to learn to be shrewed & calculative? Believe me, how I tried! Not happening.... :P Well, its not a good week, but I'm keeping myself happy by looking at my pile of fall fabrics & sniffing Erin's Sugar scrubs (We have the same weird tendencies!) Oh, hot Earl Grey tea keeps me happy too.

Anyhoo, isn't fall a great season? The time where it isn't too cold that we have to be wrapped up in a unglam bun, isn't too hot that we feel too exposed in bikinis & drinking one too many Daiquiris. When I was in Sydney, fall was my absolute favorite season. I almost treated every beautiful fall day as if it was my last, drinking alfresco, chatting with great friends at cafes til the cows come home, general gallavanting & frolicking in the golden leaves. Everything was bathed in this beautiful orange, especially during sunsets & sunrises! I do love the bare branches in winter but that was when life was great with DH around, that I had the energy to feel gray but not really just plain sad like now. Then again, though there's really hardly any fall to speak of here, I intend to just imagine it!

Still tough to keep my hands off the fabrics! *slaps naughty hands*

Life....or death.

My mind is tussled like the noodles in the teacup.

I choose life. And I choose to surround myself with pleasant things, i.e. people who appreciate what I do. I'm sorry but I gotta say this outright, no custom orders if you're fussy. I'm serious. Fussy Singaporeans, PLEASE stay away. I said my peace. (If you think I'm being nasty, check out ebay singapore, there are plenty of auctions saying exactly what I just said.) Therefore, let me preface by saying, I will not entertain emails/convos like, "can give discount a-not?", "gimmie your best price", "show me everything, i wanna choose the best one" etc. This is not pasar malam for god's sake. Its like scratching on the blackboard to me to hear these things, both insulting and unecessary.

I'm a stuff designer. I make stuff, to my whims, fancies, dreams and desires. I make things to enrich someone's life, to make someone happy. If I have to submit to your ever-changing undecidedness whims, perhaps you should do it yourself. I can't work like this. I have plenty of life on my plate, loads of stuff to do, school and stuff designs to dream about. I have to stop pleasing everyone with requested low prices, great fabrics and lots of work on the bags. Its driving me nuts trying to make everyone happy.

I'm actually really quite free for negotiation on custom orders, and are always up for a challenge when someone BYO fabric or need something I haven't done before. I try my best to perfect something before it goes out. If I feel guilty about sending out something, it'll be so hard to sleep at night. Besides, I never charge before the final product gets ok-ed. I'm still mind-boggled about how much nicer I can be without killing myself.

That said, I'm so VERY grateful for the small bunch of people who make straightforward requests like, I want a bag in this print. See what happens, or something like that. People who know what they want, know the prices to expect (or ask politely!) and send back appreciative messages when they see the final product and, even when I botched up their orders and made something a bit different (you know who you are!).

I thank these wonderful peeps for their patience, their ability to give me space to create, their belief in me that I can make something.

(sorry guys, bit of lamentation there. its been a long week and its prolly gonna get longer with all the tests and assignments! yikes.)

edit: woo-hoo! i feel better after all that lamentations. thanks for listening! (if you are, hehe)

2 years

Its been 2 years and a couple of days. This review is long overdue! Its been a busy time, putting out yummy things for you wonderful people who love us so much and tell us so! I should stop the long ass appreciation speech and just say, you people are everything to us, without you all, we're nothing, literally. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

When I set out for florspace, I really was at the breaking point, fiddling with store-bought bags that didn't really get me anywhere. Like clothes, shoes and everything else, there was always something so wrong with the bags in stores. By 'bags in stores' I really mean the mass-produced kinds. With little income to spare for Chloes and Vuittons and Kate Spades, I have to look at the more affordable range on the floor. I've been a bag lady all my life. When I go to a store, unconsciously, I'll end up looking at bags. Still not sure why, but somehow I'd always end up scrutinizing one or maybe, if I get lucky, lugging one home too! The exhilaration of bagging a new bag is just pure joy. That is until, said bag, has a problem. Size, color, texture, style, durability, utility & sometimes, even overusage disintegration and/or the smell of "vegan" leather can be so 'wrong' that it has to be stuffed into the back of the wardrobe. I feel bad, for the earth really, going thru bag after bag, purse after purse for years and years with the buy-and-throw attitude rolling on faster and faster, more and more. It got worse in the recent years when mass-produced bags started flooding the market from China. I was very pissed when the fakes started flooding in. I have the utmost respect for most designers and feel absolutely disgusted when their designs are simply stolen, copied and sold as if it was the most natural thing in the world. There was even a time when I spend spotting fakes in the street for the sake of it, I still do it now. I even reported a lot of listings on ebay because they're hawking fake bags. Whats the difference between selling a fake purse on ebay and stealing? With imminent depressing factors in the world, I decided I couldn't take it no more one day and decided to make my own bags for myself. Hell, if I'm so pissed with what's available, I should do something about it. After months of trial, florspace was born, as a way to share and as a means to feed myself coz I was sick of the corporate life about that time as well.

And yes, like every other business, we do have ugly episodes. Even though florspace was born to share the love for quality handmade things, like it always should have been, it is definitely tough to please everyone. Its easy to say, I can't please everyone anyways, but difficult to say when to draw the line, which comments are hitting below the belt. We are customers ourselves at some point, everyone is, and recognizing the difficulties in business, we try our best to play nice. It can be taken for granted and thats where things can start to get messy. Over the internet, over emails, words are words. Its dangerous, I think, coz ever so often, it gets misinterpreted. I'm so lucky to have DH who is a wordy expert, a social discourse linguist who deciphers my misconceptions and misinterpretations. I'm lucky to say its still pretty unusual, so I pray it stays that way. Still people can sometimes be annoying, intentional or not, I don't really have an idea. But I do have a natural tendency to make peace most of the time. Everytime an episode arises, I re-read wonderful things so many other people have said and feel better. Its still funny how one bad review can really just cancel out all the good things that have been said.

On business opportunities, we did receive quite a number of requests recently. Due to manpower shortage, the fear of becoming yet another mass production corporation & the desire to keep things smaller, more exclusive and of a higher quality, we've decided not to go anywhere yet. We're open for wholesale orders, not consignment because of a pretty bad experience. Hmm. I'll be happy to work for collaborations too! (silkscreen people, are you hearing this? ;+)

In the next years to come (I hope!), I do wanna strive so much to make better & yummier things, search the world for more yummy fabrics (another japan trip next year!), procrastinate less and take life's lemons and make them into Spanish Fly. Of course, spread the general niceness. ;+)

Hmm.....I need cake & bubbly.

Etsy Finds

Find of the day! Blazingly beautiful Orange Mid-Century coffee/tea set. I really, really want this so bad for myself but I already bought one sometime ago and DH says we're not a warehouse, so thou shalt not have repeats. Damn. From vintagedame, a steal at $32. I wished the cups come with, even though I'm not into matchy-matchy.

I've also been in love with this plate. Pity its ceramic, would be nuts to ship. And my budget's bit bad for scoured treasures. Scandinavian/Danish style. Details of this kind would be tough to unearth these days. I think it'll be perfect on the kitchen wall. From domestikate, $15.

I definitely need this one. Why the hell am I in the far east?! I could have a mid-century home by now. Double damn. A total beaut, not 50-yr-ole musty, she's hand-built by bladmanmod. Beautiful asymmetrical angles, pin legs, cute little corner stowaway! At $350, she's an incredible steal. Try looking for a piece on ebay (like this credenza), it'll hit you way more that that. Blow up the pictures at the listing and check out the knob. Swanky! Now all we need is a good book and a good drink. That said, baldmanmod has wonderful things in his shop plus his avatar is adorable!

Updates - restlessness and boredom

I gotta admit sometime that I'm getting it again. IT being the restlessness, the boredom, the quarter-life crisis feeling. I read that book a couple of years ago and shelved it coz I wasn't quite sure what the book was about. The contents are obviously already fuzzy in my brain right now, but I think I'm starting to feel for the people who accounted for the "not sure what to do" phase. I'm pretty sure what I want in life but because its a bitch and a lot of gruel getting there, I always get bored and restless every 2 years into something. And when something positive happens after 2 years, I diss it and unconsiously try to sabotage my own potential because I get worried about getting there. I am quite a commitment phobe. Its funny to recognize this still. I think the most successful "long-term-relationship" I have with anything is with DH (my education is not counted coz I keep trying to run away from it). But then a crazy amount of things happened between us during this decade or so, and I think I'm still standing on the line and constantly worry about sabotaging myself. Shhh. Its most prolly a 2-year-itch, a perpetual need to shake things up every 2 years. Hmm.

Some updates.

1) I just got a gym membership at California Fitness. Seems like a nice place with generally nice bunch of people. The classes are back-breaking, but considering my popcorn & reeces pieces/nutella spread lifestyle in sydney, I shouldn't complain but just do it for now. My limbs are aching as we speak but I'm determined to make the most out of my membership even if it kills me.

2) Whining. I'm whining again, especially to my friends. I do that when I'm bored and de-motivated. And even more so when people are asking a lot out of me. Assignments, projects and tests are slowly but surely creeping up on me and this is definitely adding up to the stress level. My hair hurts and I complain, a lot. (Sorry TC.)

3) Justin Timberlake (above. my fingers were playing shadow there). I know, I know. Its 2 years old and I'm slow to discover. Hey, gimme a break. I spend 27 hours thinking about bags a day. I started listening to my love a while back and had to come back to it. I'm not sure why but there's something to the combination of Timbaland and Timberlake. At this point, I have to say that I have no interest whatsoever in their privates lives so telling me Timbaland sleeps with Nelly Furtado isn't going to stop me from listening to Promiscuous for the millionth time. *eyeball roll* I can go on and on about his album but I'm putting Until the end of time, What goes around, My love and Apologize (One Republic & Timbaland from his album, Shock Value) on replay a lot. At night before I doze, I like all over again from JT. The hiphop/black/acid tunes really get to me. I'm a mix gal. But I have a preference for stuff by blacks. They are really more honest about life and JT is one exception. Maybe coz he worked with SD? DH still won't shave his head yet but I won't stop trying to ask. LOL The songs' MTVs are really quite mesmerizing too. Can't believe I used to diss JT because he was from N'Sync. Jez.

4) I'm also eating more amongst making stuff. I'm loving the popcorn and frozen yogurt (up there). Maybe the gym thing will balance it out. Phew.

Hope you guys are holding out well.

Friday

Staying in on Friday after a postal run and stealing a bite at the ice-cream stand. That chunk of chocolate was yummo. Of course I had 15 minutes of breather with some cold Oolong and the new Timbaland cd And the new IKEA catalogue before DH called with requests for new soaps. Naiad is having a naked soap sale and I gotta say her soaps are plenty luxurious for your skin! Go get some people.

And then it was pretty much work thereafter. Click, click, click, clickety, click.

There's something about Timbaland and Timberlake. Those 2 people make one of the greatest music I've ever listened to. And yes, I buy cds. I'm old-fashioned and I love album art. Where's the love in downloading mp3s dude?

Off to bed. Have to discuss some project stuff with the dudes tomorrow.
